The Senate has adjourned until 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 4th. The Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Elaine Duke to be Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security and vote on confirmation at 12:00 p.m.

6:18 p.m. Senator Gardner spoke about the US-China relationship.

6:12 p.m. Senator Johnson spoke in support of the nominations of Elaine Duke and Neil Gorsuch.

6:11 p.m. The Senate began debate on the nomination of Elaine Duke to be Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security.

6:10 p.m. S.89, the Delta Queen bill, was passed by a vote of 85-12.

5:32 p.m. Roll call vote began on S.89, the Delta Queen bill,.

5:22 p.m. Senator McCaskill spoke in support of S.89, the Delta Queen bill,.

4:51 p.m. Senator Flake spoke in support of the Gorsuch nomination.

4:34 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke about the Gorsuch nomination, as well as a tragic bus crash in Texas last week.

4:18 p.m. S.544 , to amend Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014 to modify the termination date for the Veterans Choice Program, was passed by voice vote. Senators Tester, Moran, and McCain spoke in support of the bill.

4:00 p.m. ML McConnell spoke about the Gorsuch nomination.

3:52 p.m. Senator Fischer spoke about equal pay for women.

3:38 p.m. Senator Schumer spoke about a recent explosion on a Russian subway and the Gorsuch nomination.

3:24 p.m. Senator Capito spoke in support of the Gorsuch nomination.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 pm. Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to the consideration of S.89, the Delta Queen bill,.

At 5:30 pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on passage of S.89.

Following the disposition of S.89, the Senate will proceed to the nomination of Elaine Duke to be Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security.

We expect the vote on confirmation of the Duke nomination to occur on Tuesday, April 4th.
