1:32 p.m. Senator Wyden achieved unanimous consent to pass HR 5434, the 30 day extension of the Surface Transportation re-authorization bill.

1:30 p.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 1:30 p.m. and resume consideration of the nomination of Paloma Adams-Allen to be a Deputy Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development.

The Senate will attempt to pass a 30 day extension of the Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act during today’s session.

Cloture has been filed on the Adams-Allen nomination as well as the nomination of Lauren King to be US District Judge for the Western District of Washington.

The next roll call vote in the Senate will occur on Monday, October 4th, at 5:30 p.m. on confirmation of the nomination of Jonathan Meyer to be General Counsel, Department of Homeland Security.
