3:27 p.m. Senator Schumer paid tribute to former president George H.W. Bush as well as to Giles Perkins from Alabama.

3:06 p.m. Majority Leader McConnell paid tribute to former president George H.W. Bush.

3:04 p.m.

  • S. Con. Res. 55, authorizing the use of the Capitol rotunda for the lying in state of the remains of the late George H.W. Bush, was passed by unanimous consent.
  • S. Con. Res. 56, providing for the use of the catafalque for the remains of the late George H.W. Bush in the Capitol rotunda, was agreed to by unanimous consent.
  • The vote on the McNamee nomination will be held by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5th. 
  • The congressional review period for the S. J. Res. 64 was extended until December 14th by unanimous consent.

The Senate will convene at 3:00 p.m., and following any leader remarks, will resume consideration of the nomination of Bernard McNamee to be a Member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

We expect the Senate to postpone the cloture vote on the McNamee nomination scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and adjourn shortly after convening until a time to be determined on Wednesday December 5th.
