3:11 p.m. The Senate began voting on the motion to lay before the Senate the House message to accompany S. 1383.

3:10 p.m. Democratic Leader Schumer spoke on the Save Act.

3:07 p.m. Majority Leader Thune moved to proceed to the House message to accompany S. 1383, Save Act.

3:06 p.m. The Senate confirmed the St John nomination. 51-45. Senators not voting: Gillibrand, Lankford, Smith and Tillis.

2:15 p.m. The Senate is back in session and is now voting on the confirmation of the St. John nomination.

12:36 p.m. The Senate stands in recess until 2:15 p.m.

12:35 p.m. By a party-line vote of 48-45, the Senate invoked cloture on the nomination of Anna St. John to be US District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Senators not voting Cotton, Graham, King, Lankford, Scott (SC), Smith, and Tillis did not vote.

11:33 a.m. The Senate began voting on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Anna St. John to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of Anna St. John to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the St. John nomination. 

The Senate recess from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to allow for weekly caucus meetings.

If cloture is invoked on the St. John nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation at approximately 2:15 p.m.

Following the confirmation vote Majority Leader Thune is expected to make a motion to lay before the Senate the House Message to accompany S.1383, Legislative Vehicle for SAVE Act.
