12:30 p.m. The Senate has recessed until 2:15 p.m. today.

12:25 p.m. Senator Moran spoke in favor of the Richard Star Act.

11:58 a.m. Senator Blumenthal spoke on the retirement of combat-injured veterans and asked unanimous consent for the Senate to pass S.1032, the Major Richard Star Act. Senator Johnson objected. Senator Blumenthal then asked unanimous consent that at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader, in consultation with the Democratic Leader, but no later than August 7th, 2026, that the Committee on Armed Serviced be discharged and the Senate move to immediate consideration of S.1032 and vote on passage with 60-affirmative votes needed and no amendments or motions in order to the bill. Senator Johnson objected to the request.

11:03 a.m. Senator Warren spoke on Iran.

10:53 a.m. Senator Barrasso spoke on Operation Epic Fury.

10:53 a.m. The Senate agreed unanimously to recess from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. today. All time during recess will count post-cloture time on the motion to proceed to H.R. 6644.

10:42 a.m. Minority Leader Schumer spoke on Iran, housing, and food prices.

10:14 a.m. Majority Leader Thune spoke on DHS funding.

10:00 a.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to H.R.6644, the Housing for the 21st Century Act, post cloture.

The Senate will recess from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to allow for weekly caucus meetings.
