6:49 p.m. ML Thune achieved UC that the Senate adjourn until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9th; with two votes at 11:45 a.m.; two at 2:15 p.m. and one later in the afternoon/evening.
6:48 p.m. The Senate convened; S. 3385, S. 3386 and H.R. 1949 had their second readings.
6:47 p.m. The Senate adjourned for one minute.
6:45 p.m. Majority Leader Thune wrapped up for the evening. S Res 535 and 536 were passed by UC en bloc. S. 2950, regarding International Scam compounds was passed by UC. S. 3385, S 3386 and H.R. 1949 all had their first readings.
6:11 p.m. Senator Sanders spoke on artificial intelligence.
6:10 p.m. The Senate invoked cloture on the Chamberlin nomination on a party line vote of 52-44. Not voting: Merkley, Rosen, Wyden and Young.
5:25 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Robert Chamberlin to be a District Judge for the Northern District of Mississippi.
4:03 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke about health care.
:57 p.m. Senator Barrasso spoke on President Trump’s nominations.
3:40 p.m. Minority Leader Schumer spoke on tariffs and the recently announced $12 billion bailout for American farmers.
3:15 p.m. Majority Leader Thune spoke on Medicaid subsidies. He then filed cloture on Executive Calendar #4, S. Res. 532, a resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of certain nominations on the Executive Calendar.
3:03 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke on immigration to the United States.
3:00 p.m. The Senate is now in session.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Senate will vote on cloture on the nomination of Robert Chamberlin to be a District Judge for the Northern District of Mississippi.
