5:30 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on confirmation of Whitney Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

5:19 p.m. Senator Blackburn spoke on the Hermandorfer nomination.

4:51 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke on the assassination attempt on President Trump.

4:31 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke about the GOP tax bill.

4:10 p.m. Senator Schatz spoke about the GOP tax plan.

3:55 p.m. Senator Durbin spoke on the Hermandorfer nomination. He then spoke about our Afghan allies.
