7:33 p.m. The Senate adjourned.

7:32 p.m. Majority Leader Thune wrapped up for the evening. H.R.1 had its first reading.  UC that the Senate adjourn until Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and be in a period of morning business.

7:04 p.m. Senator Merkley spoke on the proposed Senate budget bill.

6:58 p.m. By a vote of 47-53, the Senate did not agree to S.J. Res.59, the Kaine War Powers Resolution on Iran. Senator Paul (R) voted aye and Senator Fetterman (D) voted no.

6:12 p.m. The Senate began a roll call vote on the motion to discharge from Foreign Relations Committee S.J.Res.59, Kaine War Powers Resolution on Iran.

6:08 p.m. Senator Kaine spoke in favor of his War Powers Resolution on Iran.

5:50 p.m. Senators Graham and Risch spoke against the Kaine War Powers Resolution.

5:39 p.m. Senator Sanders spoke on healthcare.

5:30 p.m. Senators Hagerty and Moran spoke against the Kaine War Powers Resolution.

4:17 p.m. Senators Van Hollen, Schiff, Merkley, Welch, Paul, and Murphy spoke in support of the Kaine resolution.

4:01 p.m. Senator Kaine moved to discharge S.J.Res.59, a joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress, from the Committee on Foreign Relations.

3:58 p.m. Senator Budd spoke on drug trafficking.

3:53 p.m. Democratic Leader Schumer spoke on the proposed Senate budget bill.

3:45 p.m. Senator Barrasso spoke on the US strike on Iran.

3:36 p.m. Senator Durbin paid tribute to his Director of Speechwriting, Molly Rowley.

3:20 p.m. Majority Leader Thune spoke on the proposed Senate budget bill.

3:03 p.m. Senator Grassley spoke on the reconciliation bill.

3:00 p.m. The Senate convened.

The Senate will convene at 3:00pm. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

If Senator Kaine makes a motion to discharge S.J.Res.59, a joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress, from the Committee on Foreign Relations, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to discharge at approximately 6:00pm.
