4:25 p.m. Senator Blumenthal spoke on foreign gifts. He then asked unanimous consent to take up S. Res. 219 to allow the US Senate to take legal action in relation to the Emoluments Clause. Senator Tuberville objected.
4:18 p.m. Senator Schatz spoke on the $400 million plane offered to President Trump from Qatar and asked to take up S. Res. 218 against this topic, and after two hours of debate the Senate vote on the resolution. Senator Tuberville objected.
4:06 p.m. Senator Schmitt paid tribute to Senator Bond on his recent passing, and then turned to speak about the nomination of Brian Burch to be Ambassador to the Vatican. He asked UC to take up and pass the nomination. Senator Schatz objected.
