The Senate will convene at 9:30 a.m. to resume post-cloture consideration of H.R. 1735 the defense authorization.

No votes have been scheduled yet for Thursday. If all post-cloture time is used, it would run out late Thursday night. After post-cloture debate concludes, the Senate will vote on final passage of the defense authorization.

Meanwhile, cloture has been filed on the motion to proceed to H.R. 2685, the separate defense bill to appropriate money for military programs.

After the Senate has concluded its action on H.R. 1735, the FY2016 authorization that sets policy for defense programs, a cloture vote can occur on the motion to proceed to H.R. 2685, the FY2016 appropriation that sets spending levels for defense programs.
