During wrap-up S. Res. 98, supporting the goals and ideals of multiple sclerosis, was passed by unanimous consent. ML McConnell spoke on
Iran’s nuclear program. A vote on the motion to invoke cloture on S. 625, regarding Iran’s Nuclear Program, is expected to occur 1 hour after the Senate convenes on Tuesday, March 10th.

5:05 p.m.  Senator Blumenthal spoke in support of the ACA in the face of the current challenge in the Supreme Court.

5:00 p.m. Senator Barrasso spoke about the Affordable Care Act and the current challenge in the Supreme Court.  He described a way to replace the ACA.

2:44 p.m. Veto override of S.1; Keystone bill fails 62-37; 67 votes needed.

1:50 p.m. Senators Hoeven, Thune, Manchin, Murkowski and ML McConnell spoke in support of the override of the Keystone veto.

1:37 p.m. Senator Merkely spoke against the override of the Keystone veto.

12:59 p.m Senator Durbin spoke on the 150th anniversary of President Lincolns 2nd inaugural address, followed by a statement paying tribute to Bill Bartholomay.

12:45 p.m. Senator Fischer spoke about human trafficking.

12:32 p.m. Senator Markey spoke against the Keystone veto override.

12:20 p.m. Senator Cornyn spoke for the Keystone veto override. He also spoke about the negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.

12:10 p.m. Senators Boxer and Cantwell spoke on veto message of the-bill S.1 expected at 2:20 p.m.

12:07 p.m. S.J.Res 8 is agreed to 53-46. The lone party switcher was Senator Murkowski voting no. Senator Donnelly missed the vote.

11:37 a.m. Roll call vote begins on S.J.Res 8 ; disapproval of new rules on union elections.

11:25 a.m. Senator Nelson briefly follows up on Senator Murphys comments on the Affordable Care Act before turning to discuss Iran negotiations and S. 615.

11:10 a.m. Senator Murphy spoke on the Affordable Care Act.

10:22 a.m. Senator Mikulski began a colloquy on human sexual trafficking, with Senators Klobuchar, Shaheen, Hirono, Ayotte, Heitkamp, and Gillibrand.

9:56 a.m. Senators Thune and Tillis spoke in favor of S.J.Res 8 ; to express disapproval of the new labor rule.

9:37 a.m. Minority Leader Reid spoke against the pending resolution (S.J.Res 8; ) to disapprove of new rules on union elections. He also addressed the Supreme Court case on health care.

9:34 a.m. Majority Leader McConnell completed Rule XIV procedings to place on the calendar S. 615; (Iran nuclear sanctions).

Senator McConnell spoke in favor of cloture on the vote to override President Obama’s veto of  S.1; the Keystone XL Pipeline bill. He also addressed the Supreme Court argument on the health care law.

The Senate will convene at 9:30 a.m. and resume consideration of S.J.Res 8; the resolution to disapprove of a change in union election rules, proposed by the National Labor Relations Board.

There will be two hours of debate.

At about 11:45 a.m., there will be a roll call vote on passage of S.J.Res 8.

Upon disposition of S.J.Res 8; , there will be a cloture vote on the President’s Keystone XL Pipeline S.1; veto message.
