8:21 p.m.  Wrap-up: the Senate passed S Res 92, designating February 28, 2015 as rare diseases day.

8:20 p.m.  Senator Reid spoke about his confidence that the House will pass a seven-day CR.

8:18 pm  The Senate passed a seven-day continuing resolution to fund the Department of Homeland Security until March 6, 2015 by voice vote.  Majority Leader McConnell made a motion to proceed to the motion to appoint conferees on the HR 240, the full DHS appropriations bill.  This tees up a 5:30 p.m. Monday cloture vote on the motion to appoint conferees. The Senate stands adjourned until 2:00 p.m. Monday.

2:10 p.m. The Senate stands in recess subject to the call of the chair.

11:58 a.m. Senator Rubio spoke about Venezuela.

11:52 a.m. Senator Donnelly spoke on the recent passing of Ted Hesburgh from Notre Dame.

The Senate will convene at 9:30am. Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of H.R.240, the DHS Appropriations bill.

At 10:00am the Senate will proceed to a series of at least four roll call votes that will include the following:
1. Motion to invoke cloture on H.R.240, DHS Appropriations Bill.
(At the conclusion of the first vote Senator Lee or his designee will be recognized for up to ten minutes)
2. Adoption of substitute amendment #255 in relation to H.R. 240, DHS Appropriations Bill.
3. Passage of H.R.240, DHS Appropriations Bill, as amended, if amended.
4. Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to S.534, the Collins bill.
