6:20 p.m. Leader McConnell began the Rule XIV process for S. 535, a bill to promote energy efficiency.
6:19 p.m. Leader McConnell began the Rule XIV process to bring to the floor S. 534, a bill to prohibit spending on certain executive actions related to immigration.
6:03 p.m. Majority Leader McConnell entered a motion to reconsider the cloture vote on the motion to proceed to H.R. 240.
6:02 p.m. By a vote of 47 to 46, the Senate failed to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to the DHS appropriation (H.R. 240).

The next vote will occur at 5:30 p.m. on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 240, the appropriation for the Department of Homeland Security.
